CMR case study: identifying priority product features to inform future product development

Our client, a global medical device manufacture, wished to develop its diabetes management platform to support market growth, expansion and improved competitiveness.

To meet these objectives, CMR conducted a combined qualitative and quantitative approach across the US, UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

  1. Patient video interviews: 90-minute sessions conducted with people with diabetes to understand the patient journey and therapy decision making, with a conjoint exercise.
  2. HCP online survey: 30-minute online survey including a conjoint exercise with Endos, GPs and DSNs to more deeply understand therapy trade-off decision making.

Results for this project

The insights informed the client on what to prioritise during the development of its products. It also helped to identify what products will most appropriately fit with the patient treatment journey for each therapy area of focus.
